Woodford State Park The Woodford Trail is a 2.1-mile easy to moderate trail that circumnavigates the reservoir and campground, through the forest on the eastern side of the park, and closer to the shoreline along the west. There is also the shorter Atwood Trail (0.5 miles) that runs along a portion of the shoreline. This is a loop trail offeringespecially beautiful scenery in the fall months when the leaves around the lake are changing. Woodford is located on a mountain plateau surrounding Adams Reservoir, andthe high elevation spruce/fir/birch forest provides an ideal setting for the park. Woodford borders the George Aiken Wilderness Area, which is in the Green Mountain National Forest. The park features ample opportunity for wildlife viewingandbrook trout can be found in Adams Reservoirfor those interested in fishing.
