White Rocks is a section of the Bald Mountain Trail, located in Bennington, VT, and features a 5.8-mile out-and-back hike(some sources report 6.5 miles round trip). The hike is challenging enough to satisfy advanced trekkers but not too tough to alienate beginners or casual hikers. The trail leads to a stunning view known as White Rocks, from which you can see all of Bennington and much of the surrounding area. Notable scenery includessmall hills that may be covered with wildflowers and a “free expression tunnel” underneath the nearby highway. At the end, there are steeper climbs as the paths become rockier, all worth it for the magnificent view of Bennington and its surrounding mountains.
