Turkey Hill Preserve, Orange, Connecticut Turkey Hill Preserve Loop is an easy hike covering 1.8 miles that takes about 0.5–1 hour to complete. This is a loop trail with the same starting point and endpoint. The trail is well-marked with some rocky sections and narrow parts, featuring slight inclines and declines along the way. The preserve features an old growth core forest with ledges, ridges, vernal pools, gorges, streams, ponds, and a 100-foot hill, populated by a wide variety of plant life and wildlife. The trail is popular for birding, hiking, and running. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
