Tucker’s Ridge / Housatonic Overlook is an easy to moderately difficult trail systemfeaturingless than two miles of trails in total. The trails overlook the Housatonic River between the Tenneco Pipeline and a 200-foot eastern palisade, with views of the Town of Shelton to the west and Two Mile Island and Derby to the north. The paths run along stone walls and through mountain laurel groves, featuring a seasonal waterfall that tumbles over boulders beneath Metro-North railroad tracks. The northernmost parking area at the end of High Ridge Road provides immediate river views within 20 steps, while the Cedar Grove Street parking area leads to fairly level inland trails.
