Sunnybrook State Park offers an easy to moderate network of trails through a mixed hardwood forest with views of the East Branch Naugatuck River. The trail system consists of two main trails: the Testone Boulder Loop and the Fadoir Spring Trail, thoughlooping yellow and blue will get you a 3 mile hikewith an elevation gain of 259 ft. The trails pass huge boulders — including the monstrous Dino Testone Boulder — and along the banks of scenic marshes and ponds, withtrails that run along the banks of the East Branch of the Naugatuck River along with some unique bridges that cross the waterway. There is also fishing that is stocked with trout, andthe Alain and May White Nature Trails link to the John Muir Trail in Paugnut State Forest and the Walcott Trail in Burr Pond State Park, forming a system of interconnected trails that meanders for 11.5 miles over rolling, forested terrain.
