Skinner State Park, Hadley, Massachusetts Skinner State Park offers more than 40 miles of hiking trails ranging from easy to difficult difficulty levels. The park features multiple trail types, including an 11-mile stretch of the Metacomet-Monadnock Trailand Section 7 of the New England Trail (NET), often called the Seven Sisters, takes you along the rugged ridgeline of the Holyoke Range. Popular shorter options include Mount Holyoke Trail, a moderate hike that covers 1.8 miles with an elevation gain of 393 feet and takes about 1–1.5 hours to complete. The park offers many hiking trails and breathtaking views of the Connecticut River Valley. The Seven Sisters offers stunning lookouts over the Connecticut River and the patchwork of farmland below. At the summit is the historic Prospect House, a hotel opened in 1851, whichis open for tours and programs on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. Visitors can reach the summit of Mount Holyoke by road or hiking trail, withthe summit accessible by automobile from May through mid-October, and year-round by walking the road or hiking along the trails. The park also features20 picnic areas, several of which have beautiful views and charcoal barbecues, with bathrooms accessible from mid-May until mid-October
