This is a 1.2-mile loop trail near Northbridge, Massachusetts, generally considered easy and taking an average of 35 minutes to complete. Shining Rock Trail is located in Richard T. Larkin Conservation Area. The area is situated on former granite quarries and is home to diverse, lush woodlands and beautiful, sweeping Blackstone River Valley vistas from rocky ledges. Under a canopy of pine, oak and other tree varieties, you can quickly hike about one-third mile steadily up past granite bedrock to one of the most picturesque overlooks in all Central Massachusetts. The paved parking lot on Shining Rock Drive has room for about eight vehicles.
