Salem Town Forest Loop is an easy hike covering 2.9 miles with 147 feet of elevation gain, completingin about 1–1.5 hours. This is aloop trailwithina 347-acre forestthat offers avariety of terrain, including several bridges and boardwalks. The trail features excellent wildlife viewing opportunities—look for ducks, geese, frogs, and chipmunks along the way. The forest features prime wetlands, part of Hitty-Titty Brook, vernal pools with aquatic wildlife, floodplains, uplands and miles of walking trails that weave through the woods. Some areas are prone to flooding each spring or following heavy rain, andbug spray is recommended for warmer months.
