The Pittsford Trail Network is maintained by volunteers and is open year-round for walking, bird watching, jogging, snowshoeing, hiking, and cross-country skiing. Trails are well-designated and cross open fields, wander along rivers and waterfalls, and move through woodlands. The network includes both easy and moderate options, withloop trails as short as 1.3 miles that are generally considered easy routes taking an average of 30 minutes, andout-and-back trails like Bald Peak that span 1.2 miles and are moderately challenging with about 50 minutes to complete. Bald Peak features vistas with north views looking out onto Pittsford and North Chittenden, and south views looking down into Rutland. Highlights include scenic streams and the beautiful recreation center.
