Peaks-Kenny State Park lies on the shores of Sebec Lake, offering day visitors and campers a peaceful, wooded setting in which to enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and picnicking. Ten miles of gentle hiking trails within the park offer visitors of all ages and skill levels a chance to enjoy old-growth hardwood forests, hemlock and pines. The park features multiple easy to moderate trails, includingthe 0.6-mile easy Cove Trailandthe 2.6-mile Birch Mountain loop that ascends about 350 feet to the 1,090-foot summit. There are occasional views of Sebec Lake throughout the hike. The state park grounds include a white sand beach at South Cove, 56 campsites, picnic area, hiking trails, and canoe and kayak rentals.
