North Farms Park — North Branford, Connecticut North Farms Park offers easy, family-friendly hiking through open fields, wetlands, and shaded woodlands. The park features multiple color-marked loop and out-and-back trails, withthe popular Yellow Loop covering 0.9 miles with 88 feet of elevation gainandthe White, Yellow and Red route covering 1 mile with 127 feet of elevation gain. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, seasonal wildflowers, and peaceful pond views, plushistoric features including an old dam and mill, and evidence of charcoal-making from North Branford’s past. The park features scenic trails including a charming hanging bridge and a Story Walk partnership with the local library where kids can read storybook pages while walking easy trails. Note thatsome sections of the trails are not well marked, so downloading the map ahead of time is recommended.
