Osbornedale State Park offers easy hiking through forested and open areas suitable for light exercise. The main loop trail is 2.6 miles long with 354 feet of elevation gain, withover 4.5 miles of trails total throughout the park. This is aloop trail thatalternates between forested areas with small streams and open meadow areas, passing by the community garden and Pickett’s Pond, with peaceful water views available along the pond route. The trails traverse through forests, along Pickett’s Pond and near wetlands with opportunities to glimpse wildlife from a wildlife viewing blind. The state park includes the historic Osborne Homestead, the Kellogg Environmental Center, and an extensive system of hiking trails. Signs of previous land uses abound, including old rock walls and aband oned mines and quarries.
