Old Town Hill Reservation features a three-mile network of trails through wetlands offering multiple route options, with the main loop covering 2.2 miles of moderately challenging terrain. The Ridge Trail climbs moderately with vistas to multiple directions, while the River Trail is a short, scenic family-friendly option that passes an old pasture and oak forest along the Little River. The 168-foot coastal hill rewards hikers with panoramic views of the Great Marsh and Isle of Shoals, with clear-day views of Plum Island and ocean vistas from the summit. The landscape is defined by tidal rivers, salt marsh, open fields, and woodlands offering excellent birding opportunities. Old Town Hill is a link in the Bay Circuit Trail, and allow a minimum of 11⁄2 hours for a visit.
