North Beach is a great family location with an Atlantic ocean-front setting with a sandy beach ideal for swimming and picnicking. This is an easy coastal walk rather than a traditional hiking trail—amenities at the beach include a bathhouse, which is open year-round. Leashed pets are permitted in the off season, October 1 – April 30. The beach offers straightforward ocean views and is convenient for seaside recreation. Ocean lifeguard coverage runs through August, and metered parking is available seasonally from April 1 through October 31.
