Nickerson State Park is a 1,900-acre public recreation area located on Cape Cod in Brewster, Massachusetts. The park offerstrails for hiking, cross-country skiing, horseback and mountain bike riding, and an 8-mile set of bicycle trails that connect to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The Long Trail is a 7.0-mile out-and-back route that is generally considered moderately challenging, while Cliff Pond Trail is 2.8 miles long with 68 feet of elevation gainand offersconstant water views while winding through pitch pine woodlands, with the pond famous for its exceptional clarity. The park’s sandy soil and scrub pines surround kettle ponds, with Cliff Pond being the largest at 0.7 miles across. Additional highlights includeeight freshwater ponds with four stocked year-round with trout, andover 400 campsites including cabins and yurts.
