Narragansett Trail Trailhead, Rockville, Rhode Island The Narragansett Trail Trailhead marks the eastern end of the 16-mile Narragansett Trail, a Blue-Blazed hiking path that traverses Connecticut and extends into Rhode Island. The trail to Camp Yawgoog Road is considered a hard hike that covers 16 miles with an elevation gain of 1,325 feet. A 4-mile long extension of the trail in Rhode Island, blazed yellow, passes by Long and Ell Ponds and through the Rockville Wildlife Management Area before ending at Ashville Pond in Hopkinton. Much of the trail is flat or has gradual ascents and descents, making it suitable for casual walking or hiking. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
