Mt. Holyoke Trailhead, Hadley, Massachusetts This 1.8-mile loop trail near Hadley is considered a moderately challenging route, taking an average of 55 minutes to complete. At an elevation of 942 feet, Mount Holyoke offers spectacular views of the Connecticut River Valley, and is situated in Skinner State Park with multiple hiking trails and a paved road to reach the summit where you can visit the historic Mount Holyoke Summit House. There are amazing sunset views from the deck looking west towards the Berkshires, and several other New England state peaks can be seen from vistas on all sides of the summit grounds. The restored Mount Holyoke Summit House, originally established in 1851, is open to tour on weekends during the season. This popular trail is used for birding, hiking, and walking.
