Mount Holyoke Range State Park features more than 30 miles of blazed trailsoffering hikes across a range of difficulty levels. The park offershikes of varying degrees of difficulty, from the easy Laurel Loop, a 0.75-mile loop near the Notch Visitor Centerto challenging ridgeline hikes. Popular routes includethe Metacomet and Monadnock trail, a roughly 5-mile east-west section that traverses the Holyoke Range ridgeline, andthe Seven Sisters hike, a 6-mile point-to-point hike between Mt. Holyoke and Bare Mountain. The park’sstreams, wetlands, woods, and thicketsprovide diverse scenery. Mount Norwottuck is the highest peak in the Holyoke range and has commanding views of the entire Pioneer Valley. Notable features includethe Horse Caves, andtrails include sections of the long-distance Metacomet-Monadnock and Robert Frost trails. Free parking is available at the Notch Visitor Center located on 1500 West Street, Amherst.
