Moore’s Falls Conservation Area This easy out-and-back trailcovers1.1 miles near Litchfield, New Hampshire. The trail goes along the Merrimack River and offers a peaceful walk in nature with beautiful views. Moore’s Falls appear more like rapids over rocks, with a drop of six vertical feet, andthe area features riparian forest, rocky riverbanks, and emergent wetland zones. A notable highlight is thewell-preserved canal and lock system constructed as part of the Middlesex Canal, which facilitated river navigation during the 18th and 19th centuries. You can see a historic site, an old cellar hole on the trail.
