Meagherville Conservation Area encompasses 52 acres with 2 miles of trailand is an easy to moderate hiking destination. A loop trail provides access to the woods, making it a manageable outing for various skill levels. The area consists largely of pine-beech forest, including the largest stand of American beech remaining in town. A beautiful stretch of stream (a branch of Kiln Brook) winds through the area, adding scenic water features to the hike. The northern end of Meagherville consists mostly of wetlands, which may be accessible via boardwalks typical of Lexington’s conservation lands.
