Lyndon State Forest features a network of singletrack mountain bike trails looping through one of Vermont’s oldest state forests. The trails were built for mountain biking but hikers are also welcome, offering tight turns and quick downhills—most are beginner and intermediate level. The system includes roughly one mile of double-track and four miles of single-track trail. The perimeter trail, Permit, is 1.8 miles long, with intermediate options like Mossland and Jack Pine diverging from it. The forest’s mix of conifers and open understory provides habitat for a variety of bird species and small mammals.
