Hidden Valley Nature Center protects 1,000 acres of diverse forest, fields and wetlands in Jefferson, including more than a mile of shorefront on Little Dyer Pond. The trail system offers a variety from easy wide pathways to narrow advanced single track and covers varied terrain, with trails accessing bogs, ponds, and unique habitats. Over 20 miles of trails are available on the preserve, withvaried experiences for all ability levels. Many of the trails are groomed for classic cross-country skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing in winter months. Notable features includeboardwalks at Kettle Hole Bogandovernight cabin and tent rentals, plus canoe, kayak, paddle board, and fat tire bike rentals.
