Hazen Park is a 36-acre park with a yellow-blazed hiking trail leading to Avon Mountain. The sloping, wooded property features an open meadow on top and is used for hiking and jogging. The Talcott Western Summit Trail is 2.6 miles long with 685 feet of elevation gain, taking approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to complete. The Skyline Trail offers a more challenging climb and is steeper than the more popular Metacomet or Tower Trail routes to Heublein Tower. The park is open dawn to dusk year-round.
