Griffith Lake Trail Head, Mt Tabor, Vermont The Griffith Lake Trail Head serves as the starting point for hikers seeking to explore Griffith Lake, a picturesque spot nestled in the Green Mountain National Forest. The trail from this trailhead is moderate as a one-way route, while the trail follows an old carriage road through mixed hardwood and softwood forest with gradual inclines, continuing for about 2 miles to reach Griffith Lake where visitors can enjoy picnicking, swimming, and camping. Approximately 0.5 miles from the trailhead, hikers can enjoy views of a large beaver pond, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
