Frog Rock is an easy, out-and-back trail near New Boston covering 0.8 miles that takes about 16 minutes to complete. The trail passes through the Frances Hildreth Towne Memorial Forest and leads to Frog Rock, a unique granite formation that resembles a frog when viewed from the right angle. The hike uses a logging road with no trail markings. This rock has been an attraction for well over 100 years and was even used as a tourist attraction for some of the grand hotels during the early twentieth century. Along the way you may also encounter a glacial esker, a kettle pond, and barn cellar holes.
