Forever Forest features relatively easy trails with a few hilly spots, making it ideal for casual hikers. Two main trails allow hikers to head out to the farthest end of the property and return on a different path, with an additional blue loop trail added after acquiring new land in 2019. Although the property is only 12 acres, visitors will be surprised by how much it has to offer, with a scenic trail system that leads along pretty marshes, over ledge promontories, and through distinct stands of hardwood trees and mountain laurel. An especially good time to visit is mid to late June when the extensive stands of mountain laurel are in bloom. Notable features include an observation deck at the large marsh,26 species of trees representing high diversity for such a small parcel, andlarge sandstone slabs present at the blue trail tip, an area noted for its historic manufacture of whetstones. Dogs on leash are welcome.
