The Florence M. Tarr Wildlife Sanctuary is a 346-acre conservation property located near the towns of Bedford and Goffstown and managed by the Piscataquog Land Conservancy. The main Lo Flo and Holbrook Hill Trail is a moderate hike covering 6.2 miles with 538 feet of elevation gain. The sanctuary protects a diverse mix of forest, wetland, and upland habitats, featuringmature hardwood and conifer forests, beaver ponds, seasonal wetlands, and extensive Mountain Laurel thickets. The 2.1-mile Holbrook Hill Trail is marked with orange diamonds and comprises switchbacks that summit Holbrook Hill at 840 feet, the highest point in Bedford. The 1.8-mile Lo Flo Trail, marked with blue diamonds, meanders through the eastern portion of the property, passing through several different forest habitats.
