Esau’s Heel Trail is a 2.1-mile forested loop trail in the Berkshires. It is an easy, family-friendly hike that takes about 30 minutes. The trail begins on an aband oned road and loops around through a mixed forest, offering distant views. The old road portion traverses a mixed forest with conifer species such as white pines, hemlocks, and spruce and deciduous species such as maple, beech, and birch. The trail is also open to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
