Crown Point Trail, Charlestown, New Hampshire This easy out-and-back trailis1.1 miles longand offers a pleasant walk through local history and natural scenery. The trail follows the Connecticut River banks through the woods, with two sections of stairs helping visitors navigate steep banks. The path is part of the original military road built in 1759 connecting Fort 4 in Charlestown to Fort Crown Point near the southern end of Lake Champlain. A bench is located on the northern end of the trail. The trail is suitable for hiking year-round and is ideal for a short nature walk with historical interest.
