Clough State Park is a public recreation area on the east side of Everett Lake, a 150-acre reservoir formed by a dam on the Piscataquog River, in Weare, New Hampshire. There’s an unnamed 0.9-mile paved track for walkers and bikers, andthe trail is easy for beginners. For actual hiking trails, you can travel just a few hundred yards to the Piscataquog State Forest, which features three easy trails between 2.2 miles and 5.9 miles in length. The park offerstrails along Everett Dam for panoramic views of the lake or explore the trails along the banks of Everett Lake and the Piscataquog River. The state park has a 900-foot sandy beach, playing fields, and picnic area and offers opportunities for swimming, hiking, fishing, picnicking, and non-motorized boating. Old stone walls and rusted automobile parts can be seen along the way, relics of those who once lived along the trail before the flood of 1938.
