Campbell’s Peaceful Valley Conservation Area – Tolland, Connecticut This 70-acre woodland conservation area sits on the west side of Hunter Road in the northwest section of Tolland. The marked trails include the Yellow Loop Trail with a steep climb to an overlook of Shenipsit Lake, the Blue Loop Trail which crosses the brook and meanders along the top of a ridge, and a Red Trail leading through the bird-filled meadow. A combined loop trail is 2.7 miles and generally considered easy. The ridge line with several high outcrops offers scenic views of the surrounding valley and hillsides, andthe property is bisected by Cemetery Brook. Trails connect to the Stoppleworth Conservation Area (White Trail) just to the north and the Knofla Conservation Area to the south across Hunter Road.
