Brousseau Mountain is a 2.2-mile lightly trafficked out-and-back trail located near Norton, Vermont that features beautiful wildflowers and is rated as moderate. This short but sweet hike to summit cliffs provides users with extensive views of the northernmost part of Vermont. The trail begins by taking hikers through an open meadow before leading into a recently cut forest and winding through the wood, then winds over granite bedrock near the summit before reaching the forested peak. A cliff lookout offers views to the south and east. The cliffs on Brousseau Mountain are home to the rare Peregrine Falcon, and hikers should pay attention to signs warning about nesting areas during the incubation period of March 1 – August 1.
