Briar Hill Conservation Area This is a 1-mile trail that travels through the Briar Hill Conservation Area. The main50 acre Briar Hill property was acquired by the Town of Williamsburg in 1964, andin April 2025, Hilltown Land Trust opened to the public two and a half miles of new loop trails on adjacent land that connect to the Briar Hill Loop on the northwest side. This is an easy to moderate loop trail thatclimbs up to the view at the top of the hill, then turns left to follow the rock wall before continuing back to Briar Hill Road. The trail begins in a young hardwood forest, crosses Cold Brook and climbs through hemlock, oak and hickory stands to a vista overlooking the northern parts of Williamsburg. This new network also links to DAR State Forest trails, expanding the trail system significantly for hikers seeking longer adventures.
