Branbury State Park Located on the eastern shore of Lake Dunmore at the base of Mount Moosalamoo, Branbury State Park offers diverse hiking opportunities withover 70 miles of nearby hiking trails leading to scenic vistas, waterfalls, caves, mountain lakes and streams. The most popular hike to the Falls of Lana is a moderate to difficult hike including great views along the way of Lake Dunmore from the Upper Cliff Trail, with a distance of up to three miles and approximately 2 1/2 hours round trip from the Nature Center. The Nature Trail Loop is an easy to navigate trail exploring the forest ecosystem, making it suitable for visitors of varying abilities. Beyond hiking, the park features a 1,000-foot natural sandy beach and the clear water of Lake Dunmore is great for swimming and boating.
