Bolton Valley Resort offers challenging hiking with incredible views and a wildflower meadow, featuring a hike to Vista Peak’s fire tower for a 360-degree view of the Green Mountains. Hiking access is free on marked trails during summer and fall, withwell-marked trails and base area amenities making it suitable for family hiking. The hike to Timberline from the Main Base Area features scenic views from the top of Spellbinder Trail near Timberline’s mid station. Lightly trafficked spur trails connect to the Long Trail for Harrington’s View offering a peaceful lookout point, andthe access road itself climbs 1,800 feet over about 4 miles.
