Alewife Brook Reservation covers 136 acres of land and includes wetlands, woodlands, and meadows. This easy, urban nature walk features limited trails that showcase a rare side of nature without leaving the city. The reservation serves as a habitat for numerous indigenous and migratory birds, including osprey, great blue heron, and woodcock. The area includes an amphitheater, interpretive signage, overlooks and boardwalks. The reservation is open sunrise to sunset with no on-site parking, but parking is available at the nearby Alewife MBTA station.
